Najczęściej zadawane pytania

What is PATINA?

PATINA describes itself as a post-purchase platform for fashion and luxury brands, built on Digital Product Passports. Each product gets a persistent identity, connected by NFC, QR or existing product technology, and a rules engine decides what happens when it is scanned: authentication, resale, care, repair, take-back, warranty and loyalty.

How much does PATINA cost?

PATINA does not publish pricing (patina-os.com, checked 3 October 2026). Brands start with a scoped proof of concept that ends with a measured readout and a plan for wider rollout. MyProductPassport's free plan lets you build up to 5 products and publish 5 passports, and paid plans start at £6/month for 100 products.

Is PATINA a system of record for passport data?

No, by its own account. PATINA says it is not the main system of record: that stays with the brand's own ERP, CRM and compliance systems, which it connects to through APIs. MyProductPassport is a system of record for passport data, with compliance scoring, a REST API and webhooks.

Does MyProductPassport do after-sales like PATINA?

Yes, since October 2026. On the Starter plan (£12/month) a passport can offer owner registration with a warranty and a certificate, and repair, warranty and take-back requests with photos, answered from the dashboard by email. From Professional (£39/month) each item can have its own serial number and QR code, a hidden code that proves it is genuine, secure NTAG 424 DNA NFC tags that sign every tap, and transfer to a new owner. PATINA adds a rules engine and loyalty for fashion and luxury brands; MyProductPassport keeps the regulated passport record and after-sales together, for every ESPR sector, on published prices. Both build on GS1 Digital Link.
