What is a Digital Product Passport (DPP)?
A DPP is a digital record containing key information about a product's materials, sustainability, and lifecycle. The EU's ESPR regulation requires DPPs for many product categories sold in the EU market.
Do I need a DPP if I'm a UK business?
If you sell products into the EU market, yes. The ESPR applies to products placed on the EU market, regardless of where the manufacturer is based.
When do the ESPR deadlines start?
Iron and steel has a 2028 deadline. Batteries, textiles, and tyres have deadlines from 2027. Furniture, aluminium, and other sectors follow through 2028-2029.
What is GS1 Digital Link?
GS1 Digital Link encodes product identifiers (like GTINs) into URLs, enabling QR codes that resolve to different content types. MyProductPassport generates these automatically.
