Anti-Counterfeiting
Protect your brand with verifiable product identity
Digital Product Passports provide a unique, verifiable digital identity for every product, making counterfeiting detectable and brand protection scalable. Passports can be issued down to the individual item, each with its own serial, so a copied code...
The Challenge & Our Solution
The Problem
Counterfeit goods worth USD 467 billion were traded worldwide in 2021, according to the OECD and EUIPO. Traditional anti-counterfeiting measures — holograms, serial numbers, RFID tags — are increasingly sophisticated but operate in silos. Consumers have no simple way to verify product authenticity. Brands invest heavily in brand protection but cannot provide consumers with real-time verification at the point of purchase.
The Solution
MyProductPassport links each product to its own Digital Product Passport through a QR code, using a GS1 Digital Link address when the product has a GTIN. When scanned, the passport shows product information directly from the brand. Issue passports at item level and each piece gets its own serial, so a copied code shows up in scan analytics as the same serial scanned in unexpected places.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do DPPs help against counterfeiting?
Each item can have its own passport and serial, reached by its QR code. Only the brand can create and change the passport data, so what a shopper sees comes from the brand, and a copied serial shows up in the scan locations.
Can consumers verify product authenticity?
Yes. Consumers scan the QR code and see product information directly from the brand. A fake with no code, or with a code that does not lead to the brand's passport, is easy to spot, and a copied code shows up in the brand's scan locations.
Does this replace other anti-counterfeiting measures?
DPPs complement existing measures. They add a digital verification layer that works alongside physical security features, and they are becoming a regulatory requirement.
